Hi, I’m Ms. Sheryl! As a homeschool mom to four amazing kiddos, I know the joy and importance of creating a learning environment that is filled with love, where kids feel supported and excited to learn.
I truly believe that my purpose as a TK/K teacher is to nurture a lifelong love of learning from the very beginning. My teaching style is creative, hands-on, playful, with a strong focus on sparking curiosity through art, imagination and exploration.
I also recently started providing tutoring for TK through 5th grade, covering all core subjects. I offer one-on-one personalized attention designed around the child's learning style and pace. Whether they need help catching up or to gain more confidence in core subjects, I can help.

Crafting Through Literature TK-K
In this creative class, students will bring their favorite stories to life through hands-on crafting projects inspired by literature.
Each week, we'll explore a different book or literary theme, using art and craft techniques to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the story. This class
combines the joy of storytelling with the fun of crafting, to connect with literature.
TK Adventures - Skills That Will Be Covered:
Fine Motor Skills: Building hand-eye coordination through tasks like drawing, writing, and using scissors.
Language Skills: We cover listening, writing, speaking and reading through letter recognition, rhyming words, story sequencing and much more.
Math Skills: To help the kids develop a strong foundation in numbers, we practice counting, sorting, patterns, shapes, length, weight, time, temperature and money. Graphs and charts will be introduced, as well.
Art/Creativity Skills: I love to encourage little ones to use their imaginations and express their creativity though art.
S.T.E.A.M.: This is one of the best ways to help kids have fun learning. We make our own paper mache volcanoes, apple and lemon volcanoes, robots, building challenges, simple machines, even dioramas!! There’s so many fun experiments and activities to encourage children to strengthen their observation skills and making predictions. “How did that happen?” is one of the best questions to hear a little one ask!

Nursery Rhyme & Fairytale STEAM Challenge TK-K
In this imaginative and hands-on class,
students will explore classic nursery rhymes and fairytales through engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) challenges.
Each week we will focus on a well-known story, where students will work together to solve fun, creative problems.
From buiding bridges for "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" to creating a rocket for "Jack and the Beanstalk", this class is perfect for young learners who love both creativity and problem solving!
I Can Learn Science with Dioramas TK
In this hands-on class, students will explore the wonders of science through creativity and craftsmanship.
Using dioramas as a medium, students will gain a deeper understanding of science while developing their artistic and critical thinking skills.
